|NEW Album: Drummer Girl Order Now!|
Rudy Lentze (born 1954 in Bandung, Indonesia) grew up in the city of Enschede. It was common among many Indonesian families for every family member to play an instrument. He was to study German and Dutch language at Groningen university, but he bought his first electric guitar instead and never quit being a musician.
In Groningen he played in renown local bands (records by Plant and AA and the Doctors) before forming his own bands, most of them trio's named Rudy's Corner. Also played a while in The Managers with Freddy Cavalli and Cees Meerman of Brood's Wild Romance fame.
Rudy's first own CD was "Boy From the Dessa" (1988), produced by Gerry Arling (Arling & Cameron). In 1992 Rudy started the duo I.N.D.O. with fellow guitarist René "Tres Manos" van Barneveld (Urban Dance Squad, Sjako!) , playing a sort of keroncong approach to folk, country en jazz. In 1995 Rudy's second own cd "Bwana 3" was released, with Bas Mulder and Martien Stienstra.
Currently Rudy plays mainly as a soloist or as a duo with singer Inki de Jonge. Occasionally he is doing guest appearances (on cd o/a on stage) with Groningen based bands Whipster,Electric Barbarian,The Monroes and The Black Hills.
